Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson today announced several significant changes in the top leadership of the 1.8 million member Knights of Columbus, effective on Sept. 1. Emilio B. Moure, who currently serves as supreme treasurer, will become supreme secretary upon the retirement of Supreme Secretary Donald R. Kehoe at the end of August. Charles E. Maurer Jr., who was appointed assistant supreme treasurer by the Board of Directors at its meeting on July 31, will become supreme treasurer.

Knights of Columbus Honor Maryland Family as International Family of the Year
family from Snow Hill, Md. was honored today as the International Family of the Year by the Knights of Columbus, at the organizations annual convention in Washington. The presentation of the award to Terrance and Alison Tinker was the highlight of a program in which awards were also given to the best council programs in six categories: church, community, council, family, pro-life and youth.
