Visayas holds Operation-Tabang for fire victims

CEBU CITY, September 8, 2010—The Knights of Visayas Jurisdiction has recently conducted an “Operation-Tabang” for those who have been victims of fire.

Through the initiative of State Program Director, Bro. Gaspar Sudario, the activity was held in Metro Cebu for the Brgy. T. Padilla, Cebu City fire victims.

Destroying at least 430 houses and leaving 3,000 persons homeless, the recent incident was the biggest fire to hit the city this year that occurred last August 11, 2010. read more »

KCFAPI holds joint area meeting in General Santos City

MANILA, September 7, 2010—The Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines (KCFAPI) has recently conducted a joint area meeting for the Fraternal Counselors of Central Mindanao and North Central Mindanao.

Aiming on improving their sales performance, the meeting was held at the Sydney Hotel in General Santos City.

Marbel Knights guarantee to take part in nation building

MANILA, September 6, 2010—The members of the Order of the Knights of Columbus from the Diocese of Marbel in southern part of Mindanao has committed to help work for nation building during a convention held in General Santos City August 7-8, 2010.

“To cultivate peace and protect creation” in nation building was the theme of the 24th Grand Diocesan Convention attended by KC members from Marbel diocese which comprises the whole province of South Cotabato and two municipalities of Sultan Kudarat. read more »

KCFAPI holds joint area meeting in Benguet

MANILA, September 3, 2010—The Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines (KCFAPI) conducted a Joint Area Meeting for Fraternal Counselors.

The meeting was held last August 21, 2010 at Benguet State University's Gladiola Center, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Present during the said meeting were the Central Luzon Conquerors (CLC), Northwestern Luzon Thunders (NWL), and host area Northern Luzon Gold Miners (NL). read more »

Davide says being righteous can help renew the nation

Tan to assume post as Supreme Director Sept 1

MANILA, August 31, 2010—The newly elected Supreme Director, Alonso L. Tan, will assume his post effective tomorrow, September 1, 2010.

Tan was elected during the recent 128th Supreme Convention at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. last August 5, 2010.

Luzon jurisdiction garners awards at Supreme convention

MANILA, August 27, 2010—Aside from the undisputed membership awards of the Knights of Columbus Luzon Jurisdiction, other awards have also been obtained by the jurisdiction in the recently held Supreme Convention.

At the convention, Luzon State Deputy Alonso Tan received for the 3rd consecutive year the Supreme Knights Circle of Honor Award for achieving 103.7% membership gain.

Another award received was the Century Club Award for councils achieving more than 100 membership gain. read more »

FBG announces improvement on KC Life sales

MANILA, August 25, 2010—The Fraternal Benefits Group (FBG) Vice President Joseph P. Teodoro announced the improvement of enrollment of new benefit certificate holders that started this August 2010.

Teodoro cited various factors has contributed in the improvement of the sales production of the KCFAPI.
