Deleverio is KCFAPI’s new independent Trustee
MANILA, August 9, 2010—Lawyer Emiliano R. Deleverio was appointed lately to the KCFAPI Board as an independent trustee for the Columbian Year 2010-2011.
A member of the KC Mindanao Jurisdiction, Deleverio is a practicing lawyer.
Born in Cebu, he has been an active member of the order of the Knights of Columbus since 1969, where he assumed several posts such as a Grand Knight in Pagadian City Council 6713 from 1983 to 1987 and a District Deputy from 1988 to 1992.
In 1993, he became a Faithful Navigator of the Archbishop Luis Del Rosario Assembly. Also in the same year, he became a Mindanao State Advocate and was reappointed in 2008.
He was also a 4th Degree District Master for two terms and an assistant to the Mindanao Deputy for Region 9-B.
Atty. Deleverio had been a member of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Board for thirteen years.
He was awarded as the Most Outstanding Legislator of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in 2003.
He held valuable positions in different organizations such as being the President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) - Zamboanga del Sur Chapter from 1985 to 1987, President of the Rotary Club of Pagadian in 1996 and Provincial Chairman of the National Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) in Zamboanga del Sur and Pagadian City Chapter during the 1986 elections.
He was also a Regional Chairman of the Zamboanga Peninsula Human Rights Advocate (ZAPAHRA), Purok President of Purok Adelfa of Barangay San Pedro in Pagadian City from 1970 to 1990, and currently, the Vice Chairperson of Union of People’s Lawyer, promoting human rights advocacy, since 2007.
