
KC Philippines Foundation, Inc.
This Foundation was established on October 21, 1970. It was organized in accordance with Sec 2(b) of Art. XIV of the By-Laws of KCFAPI which provides that some surplus funds of the Association would be allocated to said Foundation which will carry out religious, educational, social relief, war relief, public relief or any charitable work.
The purposes of the Foundation as amended in 1975 are:

Reyes, Jr. (standing) speaks during the signing of memorandum of agreement for the Knights of Columbus Gawad Kalinga ProjectTo undertake any public and/or private charitable, relief, educational, social welfare, cultural and scientific activities and/or researches and the results of such researches shall be available to the public on a non-discriminatory basis, unless the granting of an exclusive right is the only practicable manner in which the patent, copyright, process or formula can be utilized to benefit the public that such researches shall also be directed toward benefitting the public;- To help meet the needs of the people in the socially-depressed and other areas all over the country with the end in view of assuring their total development as individuals including, but not limited to, increasing their level of income;
- To render technical, medical, and socio-economic aid and assistance to deserving and less-privileged citizens in the rural communities; and,
- To assist in implementing the objectives and worthwhile projects of the government or other civic associations, including that of the Knights of Columbus, such as, but not necessarily limited to, helping the transfer of technology and industrial development to the countrysides.
Accredited with the Department of Science and Technology, the Foundation has been providing scholarship grants to students pursuing technical and collegiate studies in eleven affiliated colleges and universities nationwide. Since the 1990’s, the Supreme Council has been regularly subsidizing 36 collegiate scholars over and above those funded by this Foundation.
In pursuit of its objectives, KC Philippines Foundation, Inc. has accomplished several projects ranging from educational programs, relief and rehabilitation for calamity victims, and income-generating projects, among many others that involved multi-million financial allocations since its inception.
The latest project of the Foundation is the ongoing construction of the Knights of Columbus GK (Gawad Kalinga) Village in Tungkong Mangga, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Expected to be completed before the end of 2008, this housing facility will initially open with 10 units.
