Davide: Recipients of The 2016 Family Values Award
It takes a family founded with solid faith and love of God to reap the incomparable and treasured pride of being given a distinguished Family Values award. “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit”, (Luke 6:43).
We are equally proud that the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints recognized Bro. Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr. and Sis. Virginia “Gigi” P. Davide as the recipients of the 2016 Family Values Award. In her speech, Sis. Gigi accounted for the strong Catholic formation of their children and grandchildren handed down from the three (3) generations: starting from their union down to their five (5) children and passing these values to their fourteen (14) grandchildren.
The Family Values Award is given by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to recognize the honourable efforts of moral, outstanding community leaders who are striving to advance standards and values that are consistent with the Church’s position on the sanctity of the family. This is presented annually to community leaders in Asia, Europe and the United States.
