KC Philippines District Deputies Mid-Year Meeting Welcomes 2017
Recruit, reactivate and report - these were the three resonating words conveyed during the nationwide District Deputies Mid Year meeting for Columbian year 2016-2017. It was consequently held in four jurisdictions spearheaded by the four State Deputies: Bro. Jose C. Reyes, Jr. (KC Luzon North), Bro. Ramoncito A. Ocampo (KC Luzon South), Bro. Anthony P. Nazario (KC Visayas) and Bro. Reynaldo C. Trinidad (KC Mindanao). The series of District Deputies Mid-Year Meeting started by KC Visayas last January 7-8, 2017 held at Punta Villa Resort and Hotel, Iloilo City, followed by KC Luzon North on January 14-15, 2017 at Manila Grand Opera Hotel and KC Luzon South at Villa Caceres, Naga City last January 21-22, 2017. KC Mindanao on the other hand, had their scheduled District Deputies Mid-Year meetings as follows:
January 13-15, 2017 at Ritz Hotel, Davao City, Mindanao
January 20-22, 2017 at Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental
January 27-29, 2017 at Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur
KCFAPI Chairman Arsenio Isidro G. Yap also graced the events of KC Luzon North and KC Luzon South as he discussed the importance of insurance by promoting the products of KCFAPI.
The main purpose of the said rally is to continuously motivate the District Deputies and prompt them to push their own councils to be Star Councils as emphasized by MPC Vince Pacis. He further stated that in order for a council to be considered a Star Council, it is the responsibility of the District Deputy and the Grand Knight to comply with the necessary forms and Supreme Council’s assessment.
To date there are already 81 potential star councils for KC Luzon North alone. It will continue to grow as the District Deputies were given insights on instituting more spiritual connections with men in uniform, reactivate suspended councils, summon former squires and establish more councils particularly young men’s councils. As KC Luzon North State Deputy and KCFAPI President Jose C. Reyes, Jr. pointed out, “Growth is our primary responsibility”. Echoing what the Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson had said, “Membership growth is not just about recruitment but is about evangelization.”(JMPadrones)
