KC Philippines to establish 5 more GK housing units in honor of Supreme Knight

MANILA, February 3, 2010—Additional five housing units will be established in honor of the Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson.

Organized by the Knights of Columbus Philippines Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc., this will complete a total of 25 houses built by the KC for the poor in a span of just over a year.

The groundbreaking ceremony is set at the Bagong Pangarap Gawad Kalinga (GK), Tungkong Mangga, San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan, on February 11, 2010.

The beneficiaries of these additional 5 housing units will be mostly those that have been worst hit by Typhoon Ondoy.

The rite of blessing will be led by Msgr. Pedro C. Quitorio III, Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines, Inc (KCFAPI).

The officials of the Knights of Columbus Philippines Foundation led by Chairman Justice Jose C. Reyes, Jr. and President Alonso L. Tan are expected to come to the ceremony.

KC Philippine Foundation is a subsidiary of the KC Fraternal Association of the Philippines, Inc. (KCFAPI) which is tasked to render charitable projects to its beneficiaries.

The Supreme Knight will be visiting the Philippines this April for the 8th National Convention in at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City. (KCFAPI News)
