KC Foundation Scholars have New CPAs

Three (3) foundation scholars recently passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given recently by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi and Lucena last October 2015. They are Ms. Katrina B. Baliling (12550 Bahayan 6 Luinab, Iligan City), Mr. Michael E Justol (Council 14986 St. Isidore Quasi Parish, Cawayan Inabanga, Bohol), and Mr. Jayvee S. TEAM KCFAPI CARES : Reliving the Works of Fr. George J. Willmann

They say that it is very dangerous when you go to Tondo, a connotation that has been around for years due to what is known for its history. For the month of August, the activity was intended for the care of the elderly.

The team chose the elders from Tondo because of two main reasons, first is to be connected and relive the works done by Fr. Willmann for the poor of Tondo. Second, unlike other elders housed in Homes for the Aged or under other agencies or associations for the care of the elderly, they are not well-funded and deprived of any special treatment and care.  read more »

KC SEMINARIAN-SCHOLARS ORDAINED TO THE SACRED ORDER OF DEACONS

Rev. Raisun John Romana Placino and Rev. Vic Eclevea Tabernilla, two of the seminarian-scholars of KC Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc., were ordained as Deacon last May 11, 2015 by Most Reverend Emilio Z. NEW KC PRIEST-SCHOLARS ANNOUNCED

Bro. Alonso L. Tan, Supreme Director of the Knights of Columbus and President of the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc., recently announced the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s Religious Scholarship Program beginning School Year 2015-2016. The Foundation offers scholarships for diocesan-seminarians taking their studies at Theology level and Licentiate/Doctoral Studies locally. Team Love Bank: Home Is Where the Heart Is

This piece could be a tad mushy that you would think it is too deceitful because a grown-up wrote it. Have you noticed which part of the society being mushy is generally accepted? The children. Why? You already know it, you’ve grown too much that you gradually leave behind the knowledge of what matters most. As Monsieur Antoine de Saint-Exupery puts it, “Only the children know what they are looking for.”

A house or a home? When you say homeless, what is it that you typically connote it with? They have no shelter, a place to live in, a four-walled structure with a roof, an infrastructure…that’s it. A house, then. So why not call them houseless? Why homeless? Because it’s a custom. Try to understand beyond it and you will spot the difference. For the month of July, the Year of the Poor project focused on the homeless. And Team Love Bank directed its efforts on Nanay Rosa and her family, a resident homeless of Intramuros, Manila.  read more »

Knights of Columbus seminarian-scholars Ordained to the Sacred Order of Priesthood

During the month of May, two scholars of the KC Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc. were ordained to the Sacred Order of Priesthood in their respective Dioceses.

Last May 5, 2015, the community of Sto. Niño Cathedral witnessed Rev. Fr. Magdaleno G. Villarica III as he pledged his perpetual vow of celibacy to Most Rev. Warlito I. Cajandig DD, Bishop, Apostolic Vicar of Calapan.  read more »

KC PHILIPPINES FOUNDATION SUPREME COUNCIL SCHOLAR GRADUATES MAGNA CUM LAUDE

Another scholar of the KC Philippines Foundation, Inc., Ms. Katrina B. Baliling graduated with distinction.

Ms. Baliling graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology with the Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy last April 7, 2015. She also received a Special Achievement Award as 1st runner up in the Philippine Final Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) 2014 Global Business Challenge awarded during the graduation rites.  read more »

Turnover of Fr. Willmann Housing Project held

The awarding/turnover ceremony of the housing project of the Knights of Columbus Philippines Foundation, Inc. dubbed as the “K of C BAHAYNIHAN: A Fr. Willmann Housing Project” was held last June 19, 2015 at the Brgy. Marasbaras, Tacloban City.

The BAHAYNIHAN structures, which showcase the unique features of Lego bricks, provide sturdy, permanent housing to selected Yolanda victims whose previous residences built on their personally-owned residential lands were totally destroyed by the Super typhoon.  read more »

KC Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc. scholar graduates Magna Cum Laude in UST

Another scholar of the KC Fr. George J. Willmann SJ Charities, Inc. graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction from the University of Sto. Tomas with the degree of Bachelor in Sacred Theology last May 16, 2015.

Seminarian Paul Angielo M. Baluya was born on May 11, 1990 at Surigao Medical Hospital, Surigao City. He is the eldest among the two siblings of Domingo and Marilyn Baluya, a barangay electrician and a local teacher, respectively.  read more »

KC Philippines Foundation Scholar Graduates Cum Laude

Miss Melody Amor Monera Nisnea from Purok 2 Looc Proper Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, recently graduated CUM LAUDE at the University of Cebu Banilad Campus with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Tourism.

Nisnea was a consistent honor student and a leader of many clubs and organizations in her high school days. She is the loving daughter of Mrs. Maharanee M. Nisnea and granddaughter of Bro. Rodulfo L. Nisnea of Council No. 6616 Plaridel, Misamis Occidental.  read more »
