KC FOUNDATION CONDUCTS SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

The Knights of Columbus Philippines Foundation, Inc. (KCPFI) recently administered the scholarship qualifying examination to one hundred seventy (170) graduating high school students from all over the Philippines.

The examination was conducted simultaneously at the KCFAPI Center in Intramuros, Manila and at KCFAPI Service Offices in Cabanatuan, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao City. In addition, special Testing centers were also set-up in Iloilo and Zamboanga City to accommodate applicants from said areas and nearby provinces.  read more »

KC Foundation Scholar places 5th in Electronics Engineering Licensure Exam

KC Foundation scholar Ivan V. Parayno placed 5th out of 4,851 takers in the recently concluded Electronics Engineering (ECE) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Engineering. Ivan is the son of Bro. Ernesto and Sis. Cecilia Parayno of Panghulo, Malabon City. He is currently a second degree member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 10291, Maysilo, Malabon City.  read more »

Foundations Now Accepting Applications for Scholarship

MANILA, January 6, 2014 –We are pleased to inform everyone that the KC Philippines Foundation, Inc. and the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc. are now accepting applications for scholarships for the coming school year 2014-2015 as follows:

KC Priest-Scholar In Rome Graduates Summa Cum Laude In Licentiate Degree

MANILA, November 19, 2013 –One of the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc.’s Rome scholars, Rev. Fr. Ronniel G. Babano, recently obtained his Licentiate Degree in Moral Theology.

His Excellency, Most Rev. Juan de Dios M. Pueblos, Bishop of Butuan, informed the Foundation that Fr. Babano graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Licentiate Degree at the Accademia Alfonsiana while residing at the Pontificio
Collegio Filippino in Rome.  read more »

KC Scholar-Deacon and his brother ordained as Priests in Cataingan, Masbate

MASBATE, May 20, 2013 -Last April 29, 2013, Deacon Rev. Cristino (Junjun) Y. Lobitana III, a former scholar-seminarian of the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc. was ordained to the Priesthood at the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish in the municipality of Cataingan, Masbate.  read more »

Knights of Columbus in the Philippines Commemorates the 34th Death Anniversary of Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ

On September 14, 2011, the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines will commemorate the 34th Death Anniversary of Rev. Fr. George J. Willmann, S.J.

It will be highlighted by a Family TV Mass at the San Agustin Church at 9:00 in the morning with Most Rev. Jesse E. Mercado, D.D., Bishop of Parañaque as the Main Celebrant to be assisted by KC Priest-scholars and the Augustinian Priests. The Mass will be aired on September 25, 2011 at IBC Channel 13 from 9:00 to 10:00AM. Immediately after the Mass, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the statue of Fr. Willmann located at the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines, Inc. (KCFAPI) head office in Intramuros, Manila.  read more »

Country’s youngest bishop is KC Priest-scholar

MANILA, Sept. 1, 2011―The newly-appointed Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia, Most Rev. David William V. Antonio, is currently the youngest Bishop in the country.

Bishop Antonio was ordained priest on December 1, 1988. He was a scholar of the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc. until the completion of his Theology studies.  read more »
