During the year 2014, the focal point of KCFAPI’s thrusts and programs was its theme ONE IN TRANSCENDING CHALLENGES AS PROTECTORS OF GOD’S GIFTS as culled from Pope Francis’ call for the entire Catholic faithful to put Christ at the core of our vocation so we can protect Him in ourselves as well as protect others, our parish and our community.
Since its establishment in 1958, KCFAPI continues to carefully maintain a balance between its existence as an ongoing business concern and its role as a key instrument in caring and safeguarding the needs of the members and families of the Order of the Knights of Columbus primarily by providing relevant and timely insurance coverage. Effective and efficient management of your Association’s operations have always incorporated a human touch that reaches out to the necessities of our K of C family. KCFAPI’s corps of fraternal counsellors and area managers undergo a series of orientation/ training seminars as well as various formation talks to ensure that they understand the basic needs of brother Knights and their families and competently address these with each protection package they offer and provide.
With its 2014 theme and strongly guided by the example of its Founder, Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ., KCFAPI is proud of its unique kind of service – one with a conscience that never loses sight of the mundane requirements of its Benefit Certificate Holders regardless of whatever challenges need to be hurdled. As an integral part of the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines, KCFAPI makes sure that its services constantly promote the basic principles of the K of C: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
As it continues to record significant stable growth in a very competitive insurance industry, KCFAPI, as protectors of God’s gifts, consistently strives to be distinctively remembered by its insured family as the Association that provides service that is most timely and compassionate during those dreaded times when they face their utmost needs with the loss of a loved one. God’s ultimate gift to man is life, not only on earth, but more importantly, eternal life thereafter. With KCFAPI’s balanced and well-rounded approach, it is able to provide not only for the family’s continued financial sustenance but likewise, preserve the link of the beneficiaries’ faith and conviction to the Catholic Church and its teachings thru the supportive activities and thrusts of the K of C Order and its members in the three State Jurisdictions in the Philippines.
Lastly, the year 2014 was also dubbed as the Year of the Laity where the Church thru the CBCP called on the laity’s commitment to missionary evangelization to bring the Good News into all strata of humanity leading to a transformation from within. KCFAPI’s unique service with a conscience already implicitly evangelizes to its benefit certificate holders as it simultaneously promotes increased awareness for its Founder, Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ. and all his works for “the care and formation of the youth, relief of victims of war and violence, alleviation of the suffering of the poor and the preservation and promotion of the sanctity of life, marriage and the family”.
In closing, as we look back at 2014, let us thank our Lord, God for allowing KCFAPI to continue being effective protectors of His Gifts. Let us pray that we remain faithful to the path of evangelization as lived and fully demonstrated to all by KCFAPI’s Founder, Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ.
